Chicago Sews Frockroom Reopens for the #WeSewBombers Sew-Along!
We are thrilled to invite you back into the Chicago Sews Frockroom, our virtual sewing space that brings the community together while we work on our bomber jackets for the #WeSewBombers Sew-Along. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced sewist, the Frockroom is designed to be a social hub where you can sew alongside friends, share your progress, and get real-time support from the community.
So, what is the Frockroom? It’s a 24-hour virtual space that lets you sew together, even when miles apart. Think of it as an open sewing lounge where you can hop in whenever it fits your schedule, stay for as long as you’d like, and chat with others who are working on the same project. There’s no pressure—just a fun, relaxed environment where we encourage each other and enjoy sewing together.
The Frockroom will be open for 24 hours on two key dates: October 19th and November 9th. To make the most of it, drop by our Meetup page to join the discussion and coordinate times with friends or other participants. This way, you can plan to sew at the same time and experience that “together” feeling, even virtually.
Imagine sewing late into the night while others cheer you on, or jumping in midday to share your progress and gather tips from fellow sewists. The Frockroom gives you the flexibility to connect on your own terms, all from the comfort of your own sewing space. You can find the link to join on our Meetup page, Facebook events, or through the linktree in our Instagram bio.
We can’t wait to see what everyone creates. Let’s sew together and make something truly unique!
